GHANA'S PLAN FOR A SECOND GAS PLANT: A REVIEW

Ghana is embarking on a significant expansion of its energy infrastructure with the construction of a second gas processing plant, known as Gas Processing Plant Train 2 (GPP Train 2).  (Source: ghanagas.com ) This initiative aims to enhance the nation's energy security, stimulate economic growth, and position Ghana as a regional energy hub in West Africa. ( Ghana News Agency , The Business & Financial Times ) Project Overview The Ghana National Gas Company (GNGC) has entered into a $700 million agreement with a consortium comprising Integrated Logistics Bureau Limited, Jonmoore International, Phoenix Park Limited, and the African Finance Corporation to construct GPP Train 2 at Atuabo in the Western Region.
