THE GHANA UPSTREAM PETROLEUM CHAMBER MEETS THE VEEP

The Ghana Upstream Petroleum Chamber recently convened a morning session with Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, aiming to apprise him of sectoral hurdles and explore potential collaborative efforts between the industry and the government to tackle these issues.  source: thebftonline.com   During the presentation, the Chamber outlined the state of the oil and gas sector, emphasizing the challenges it faces and underscoring the lack of new petroleum agreements since 2017 as a consequence. Commenting, the CEO of the Chamber, David Ampofo, said: "Peak oil production occurred in 2019; but since then, there has been a 32 percent decline.
