Ghana Gas to Halt Operations: Two-Week Shutdown Ahead

Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has announced a planned shutdown of its Gas Processing Plant (GPP) and offshore Gas Export Facilities, starting from August 1st, 2024, and lasting until August 17th, 2024. The two-week shutdown is aimed at enabling critical safety and essential maintenance works to enhance the plant's operational efficiency and ensure an uninterrupted gas supply. This was disclosed in a statement issued by Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah, Head of Corporate Communications, on Wednesday, July 31. The maintenance works are expected to improve the overall performance and reliability of the facilities, ensuring a stable and continuous supply of gas. Ghana Gas has assured that all necessary measures are in place to minimize any potential impact on gas supply during the shutdown period.
